Puda Coal commenced operations in 1995, with two cleaning facilities located in Liulin County with a total coal washing capacity of 500,000 MT per year. In September 2005, the Company completed a share transaction with Purezza Group, Inc. and became a public company in the U.S., and currently trades on the OTC Bulletin Board under the ticker"PUDC". In 2006, the Company expanded annual processing capacity more than fourfold to 2.7 million MT. In June 2007, Puda Coal further expanded annual processing capacity to 3.5 million MT, making it one of the largest non government owned companies in Shanxi's coal washing market.
